My husband and I decided to meet my parents in Panama and explore the country together. On the third day, we decided to do a coffee tour in a beautiful town called Boquete. We learned how the coffee was processed from the bean to coffee grounds. At the end of the tour, we had the chance to make and drink our own coffee. After several shots of espresso, we decided to go up a hill and take a picture with the mountains behinds us. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Second best day of my life apart from my wedding day!!
I can't remember how I first discovered Wear Your Love. I fell into a few Pinterest and Instagram rabbit holes while wedding planning. Once I discovered Wear Your Love, I knew they had exactly the type of dress I was looking for. I fell in love with the elegant simplicity of each of their gowns.
Sounds cliche, but honestly it was right from the beginning. Blake just felt like home from day one. I remember before we were even dating pulling up to his driveway, getting out of the car, running up to him and being SO stoked to see each other every single time, even if it had only been a day or so. We each personally had gone through a lot to get to where we are today, so we were just so happy to have found each other.
What went through your mind when the Wear Your Love box arrived at your doorstep, and you pulled out your dress for the first time?
I was so excited to open the box and try it on, I could hardly stand it. I could tell how beautiful it was from the moment I got the top off the box. The dress was perfect! When pulling it out, I noticed how soft it was! The material was stretchy, soft and so comfortable! It was everything I wanted.
Explain to us how you found Wear Your Love?
I was searching for a timeless, comfortable, lace gown that I could wear without breaking a sweat in the hot Mexico sun. I was willing to spend more than I would on a normal dress but didn't want to be extravagant, either. I furiously Googled and stalked Pinterest until I found Wear Your Love.
When did you know you had found your perfect dress?
I never actually went wedding dress shopping. I had found Wear Your Love online and knew I would love the Zoey Scoop Back dress. I loved that lace detail, the sleeves, the back, the length and color, and the skirt- everything about the dress was what I imagined I would be wearing.
I consider myself to be a very environmentally conscious as well as community driven. Wear Your Love was the first hit I got online when I Googled organic cotton wedding dress made in the USA. I fell in love straight away.
As soon as I saw the Cleo dress, I knew it was the one! Classic, classy, beautiful, comfortable, affordable, and made to fit. It was perfect!
I saw a few photos on Instagram by a couple different photographers and so I clicked on the tag. I scrolled down on the website and when I saw the girl sitting near the window sill, I knew it was the one. The lace sleeves were calling my name.
The entire time, I kept thinking "Please work, please work!" The fabric was incredibly soft right when I pulled it out, so I knew it would be comfortable. When I put it on, I saw that it was unlike any of the other dresses I had tried on in the bridal shops. It was exactly what I was looking for and hadn't been able to find anywhere else.
I was so anxious to pull it out and finally put it on but decided to wait until I visited my family so my mother, father, and sister could see me in it for the first time.
Pure joy and excitement! It felt so soft and luxurious, and the lace detail was so intricate and beautiful. Of course, I was nervous it might not fit, but it was absolutely perfect! No alterations needed, which is pretty extraordinary for a wedding dress.
