Congratulations, Cass and Robin on their gorgeous Yukon wedding! Photography by Emeraude Photography.

So tell us, how did you meet the love of your life?

We knew of each other as two Yukon kids, but we connected on Tinder when we had both moved back after our post-secondary studies. We couldn't stay away from the north!

Was there a moment you knew they were the one? Tell us how they won your heart.

I hoped Robin would be 'the one' very early on. We went on a beautiful Westfalia camping trip near Kluane National Park and I remember talking and drinking wine and wishing I would get to do that with this person forever.

Tell us the story of the proposal ❤️

Robin's family does a beautiful winter solstice party (longest night) with a candlelit labyrinth every year. We walked through the labyrinth and came to a little lantern lit platform where he asked me to marry him. Then we got to celebrate around a bonfire with friends and Yukon-made champagne!

Which dress did you choose?

Mason

What was most important to you when choosing your wedding dress?

I wanted something backless and with lace, and a bohemian feel. I looked around a lot online and just kept coming back to the stunning options from Wear Your Love.

What aspects of your wedding were most important to you when you were planning?

We really wanted to have a big party, a fun band, and it was important to me to get a photographer. Neither of us wanted to leave anyone out, so we did not have an official wedding party. We wanted it to be simple overall and just a lot of fun!

Did your wedding have a theme or a specific style?

I would say our wedding theme was some combination of rustic/boho/Yukon/hobbit/goofy. We had a flower dude, a female wizard officiant, a Smokey the 'ring bear', and a roaring 20's style country-swing band. I'm not sure if it actually worked, but it was very 'us'.

What advice do you wish you could go back and give to yourself when you were in the early stages of planning?

I do wish I had gotten some specific photos with friends since we did not have a formal wedding party. Don't worry too much about little details, but about making it your own.

Let's show your wedding venue some love! What is the name of your venue, and why did you choose it for your special day?

Lorne Mountain Community Centre - it has it all and was very affordable for what it offers, including a commercial kitchen, camping, and a gorgeous timber frame pavilion.

What was your favorite moment of the day?

We did a first look photo, and while someone was documenting it, it felt like a super special moment between the two of us before the ceremony. It gave us a moment to appreciate each other and revel in the big feelings to come for the day.

How did you feel spending the day in your wedding dress?

I felt like a goddess! It was such a soft, flowy, comfortable, and beautiful gown. My spouse started crying immediately when he saw me and said 'You look so beautiful!' I got so many compliments from my guests and felt so at peace in it. I did collect a few sticks and twigs along the way, but I didn't mind!

Who was your photographer?

The super duper talented @emeraudephotography!

Would you like to shout out to any of your other vendors?

@theborealflorist for their amazing northern grown flowers, @sauvignonblonde__ on hair

What has been the best part so far about being married?

Reminiscing on our gorgeous day with amazing friends and family, and sharing our love for each other!

Congratulations again, you two! Cass is wearing Mason with natural lining and a 10 in sweep train.
