How do I choose my lining color?

To help you select your gown’s lining color and provide you with the most accurate experience of our fabrics, we offer complimentary fabric swatches for all brides who have placed their dress order with us. After you place your order, we will send instructions for receiving your free swatch packet. Your swatch packet will include your dress’s featured lace, any other fabrics used in your dress, and the selection of lining colors we offer with your dress. You will then fill out our bridal questionnaire with the lining color you have chosen from your swatch packet. There is no extra charge for swatches if you have placed your dress order. You may specify a different shipping address for your swatch than the one you provide for your dress. Full details will follow after your dress order is placed.

What if I want swatches first?

If you are not ready to place your dress order and want to see the fabrics in person first, please use this ORDER SWATCHES link to request swatches shipped to you. Choose the dress(es) you are interested in and add each swatch to your cart individually. Each dress selection will include swatches of the fabrics featured in your dress, as well as the standard lining options we offer with the dress(es) you've chosen. If you order swatches for two dresses with the same fabrics, we will refund the duplicates.

What is your advice on lining color options?

We often photograph our dresses with nude, natural, or gold lining colors to illustrate the beauty of our lace fabrics. The contrast between these darker linings and our soft white laces makes for striking detail in photography. While our white and ivory lining colors may not show the lace patterns as clearly in photographs, in person, where the texture and subtle contrast are more visible, the lace looks lovely against these lighter linings as well. You will have the opportunity to make an educated decision about your dress’s lining color after receiving your swatch packet from us.

Our most popular lining color is natural. It is darker than ivory and shows the lace patterns beautifully, but is not as bold in tone as nude or gold.

How does sizing work?

All of our wedding gowns are made-to-order using each bride’s exact measurements, which means your Wear Your Love gown will fit your one-of-a-kind body like a glove. We cater to all body shapes and sizes. After your order is placed we will send you our easy-to-follow measuring guide, which will direct you through the process of providing the precise measurements we need to create your gown to your unique shape. This includes your torso length, arm length, bust, waist, and hip size, as well as your arm width, and overall height, along with several other measurements.

When do you take my measurements?

We will send your measuring guide and bridal questionnaire to you within 3 business days of your order being placed. We require you to send us your measurements and lining preference at least 8 weeks prior to the projected shipping date of your dress and earlier is always appreciated.

Do I need my measurements to be taken by a professional?

You should not take your measurements by yourself simply because you need to be standing straight with good posture when your measurements are taken, and you cannot do so while also trying to manipulate a measuring tape. You can have anyone help you with your measurements who is able to bend and reach while reading a measuring tape. Please take your time to ensure you take your measurements accurately.

NOTE: If you have an old measuring tape, please check it against a ruler or another measuring device as measuring tapes can stretch out over time.

How do I give you my measurements?

We will send you a link to your online bridal questionnaire which you will need to fill out completely with your measurements. If you have any special notes or customization requests that were approved by our team prior to your order being placed, please note all of these in your bridal questionnaire for us. The questionnaire will be used to pattern, cut, and construct your dress, so it is important that you fill it out accurately and completely.

When will I receive my dress?

It takes on average 15 – 18 weeks for us to create your dress (during our busy seasons, this production time can reach up to 20 weeks). We recommend ordering your dress as early as possible so we can ensure delivery with plenty of time. If you need your dress in less than 15 weeks, please get in touch with us to inquire about our Rush Order service, which may be available at an additional charge.

Note: price quotes given by direct message are valid for 14 days. Ship-by date estimates given by direct message are valid for 2 days. Prices and processing times are subject to change without notice.

How do I place a rush order if I need my dress ASAP?

We offer a limited number of “Rush Order” dresses for an additional fee of $100 - $300 USD. The availability and rate for a Rush Order varies from day to day. You will need to check with us to determine if this option is available for you.

Please email your rush order request to and include the following info:

  1. The dress you wish to order.
  2. The date of your wedding.
  3. The location of your shipping address (city, state, country).

How long does shipping take?

Once your dress is complete, shipping within the U.S. takes about 3 - 5 days, and international shipping takes 5 – 21 days (this varies by country). If you have placed a rush order, your dress will come with expedited shipping.

What are the customs/import fees and processing times for international orders?

The buyer is responsible for import and customs fees which may be assessed upon delivery. Please make sure you are aware of the fees that may apply in your country. As each country and region imposes different types of fees for the importation of garments, we are not versed in the precise fees associated with each area.

Please note that some countries take considerable time to process imports, which may delay the delivery of your dress. To make sure you know what fees and timelines to expect, we recommend contacting the customs authority in your country.

Do you lend out dresses to try on at home?

Because each of our gowns is made-to-order in custom sizing, we do not stock samples to be lent out. However, we do have a return policy that allows for refunds minus a restocking fee in case your dress does not work out for you. You can read the full policy HERE.

Can I try on your dresses in person?

Our company is based in a private studio and at this time we are not offering try-on service. In order to keep our prices as low as possible for our brides, we've chosen to sell our gowns exclusively online. In this way, we are able to skip the bridal store markup and the overhead of running a storefront, so we can offer our dresses at a fraction of the price they'd be listed at in a bridal boutique.

Is there a fee to customize my dress's neckline or sleeves?

The majority of customizations to the look of a dress do carry a customization fee, and each fee depends on the request. Customizing a dress requires a great deal of time and attention from our design and production team and therefore can add significant cost to a dress. Please get in touch to discuss your specific request.

Can my dress be vegan?

All of our dresses can be made vegan. If your dress has a chiffon skirt layer (like our ever-popular Zoey Scoop-Back dress) you will be able to choose between Natural Silk Chiffon (from silkworms) or Vegan Chiffon (a synthetic fiber). Both fabrics will be included with your swatch packet if your dress has chiffon in the skirt so that you can feel how gorgeous, luxurious, and incredibly soft both options are.

Is there a fee to add lining to my dress?

For a dress that normally has unlined sleeves or an unlined back, we can add lining for you at no additional cost. Please let us know about your customization request to add lining when you are filling out your bridal questionnaire after you have placed your order.

Can I return my dress if needed?

Unlike most wedding dress companies, we are so confident that you will love your dress we do accept returns for a refund, minus a restocking fee, even though your dress is created specifically for you and to your exact measurements.  Please read our full policy HERE.

Will I need alterations?

Because we design our dresses with stretch elements and create them exactly to our brides’ measurements, our dresses fit perfectly right out of the box the majority of the time. However, budgeting time for the chance of alterations is always a good idea. In the bridal industry, alterations are very common, and in some cases, your dress may need alterations with your local tailor. Alterations by our team are usually an option as well, and some fees may be associated with alterations. In the event that an alteration is needed, costs associated with alterations are the responsibility of the buyer.

What kind of underwear do I wear?

All white, ivory, or nude dresses are best worn with flesh-tone, seamless underwear.

What about a bra?

Almost all of our dresses can be made with built-in soft foam bust cups by request. Please let us know if you would like your dress to have cups sewn in when you are filling out the bridal questionnaire we send to you after your order is placed.

If you would like to wear a bra, our backless, off-the-shoulder, or illusion-back dresses can be worn with silicone stick-on bras, which we find work wonderfully for our models during our photoshoots which often involve long hours and lots of moving around. There are also several low-back convertible bra options that work well.

If you want the support of traditional bra, we recommend our closed back dresses with full lining in the bodice front and back such as the Senia, Zoey 2.0, Ellora, AriNevaeh, Jade, Naomi, or Maya. Note that the depth of the open back on most of our dresses can be customized higher to cover a bra band. This measurement will be requested from you when you fill out our bridal questionnaire.

What about bustling my train?

If you love the elegance of a dress train, we recommend purchasing a bustle pin which will allow your skirt’s layers to remain free-flowing for beautiful movement when not bustled. Our sweep train dresses don't require bustling for most brides, but if your dress has a court or full train you may wish to bustle it during your reception so that you don’t have to worry about treading on it. A bustle pin also allows you to choose the height and style (American vs European) of the bustle. Bustle pins can be found online and in bridal stores, and they come in a variety of styles to suit your personal taste.
