So tell us, how did you meet the love of your life?

We met on the bus in 9th grade

When did you know they were the one?

Dated in high school then broke up. We knew that was it once we got back together at 22

Tell us the story of the proposal!

I actually surprised him with a trip to Palm Springs and he surprised me with a ring when we got there

How long was your engagement? What went into deciding your wedding's date and location?

It was exactly a year, we looked into getting married at an orchard, found the perfect one, and October 17th 2020 was the only date they had left the upcoming year so we jumped on it

How would you describe your personal style?  What was most important to you when you were planning your bridal look?

I wanted very minimalist and earthy, I definitely wanted a simple playful dress

How did you find Wear Your Love?

Well during COVID-19 I was looking for dresses to try on at home and stumbled upon your site 

When did you know you had found your perfect dress?

I had FaceTimed some family members who all agreed to the dress I choose

Which dress did you choose, and did you request any custom aspects?

The Ari dress and I did get it altered to have a lower back

Did your wedding have a theme or style?

Minimal earthy boho ?

How involved was your partner in the wedding planning? Did your families help? Did you hire a coordinator, planner, or event stylist?

My hubby and sister were a big help with all the crafts I did for the wedding decor. I planned it all myself - I definitely had a vision and just ran with it!

Let's show your wedding venue some love! What is the name of your venue, and why did you choose it for your special day?

Varian Orchards. Beautiful property - it is family owned and I couldn’t say enough good things about them

Tell us about your wedding playlist! What song did you walk down the aisle to? Did you have a first dance song that was meaningful to you?

We walked down the aisle to a praise and worship song called Overwhelmed by Saints and our first dance was hard for us to pick out but we went with Forever Like That by Ben Rector, but for the most part we played 60s and 70s music. We wanted an old school vibe.

What was your favorite moment of the day?

We had a very small ceremony with just grandparents, parents, siblings and a handful of childhood best friends, after the ceremony was over everyone circled around us and prayed then we popped champagne and celebrated together before our larger reception began - it perfectly intimate.

Do you have any advice or helpful tips for others planning a wedding?

Do what you want no matter what. It’s easy for others to give their opinion but it’s ultimately your day no one other than you and your SO matters

What has been the best part so far about being married?

Growing a stronger love day by day. I feel like we are both truly blessed to have found the one we wanted to be with forever at 14. He is my best friend - always has been and always will be!
