How did you meet the love of your life?
We met in high school and quickly became best friends. We remained best friends throughout college and after, and then finally got together after almost 15 years of friendship!
When did you know that this person had stolen your heart?
When did you know that this person had stolen your heart?
We both had secretly stolen each other's hearts early on, but it wasn't until we had gone through college and lived our own lives for a while that we finally found ourselves living back in the same town. That was when we knew we wouldn't live apart again!
Tell us about the proposal?
On a trip to Seattle, Bryan took me out on a boat and popped the question in the middle of a lake. I was completely shocked, to the point where it took me what felt like forever to even be able to say "yes!" Bryan then told me there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us back at the dock. As we took the boat back to the dock, I asked him "What did my dad say when you talked to him about proposing?!" and he said, "Why don't you ask him for yourself?" I then looked up, and my entire family was standing there waiting for us on the dock. I have never been more surprised in my life and probably never will be! We then all got back on the boat and celebrated our engagement with champagne, laughter, and so much love. It was such a magical day!
Explain to us how you found Wear Your Love?
I found Wear Your Love on Instagram. I found one photo of a dress that I absolutely loved, and then went to their website and found that were SO MANY incredible dresses that were exactly my vibe. I had always known I wanted a long sleeve dress, and they had so many beautiful options.
When did you know you had found your perfect dress?
I ordered the dress that I initially saw a photo of, hoping that it would be just as it was in the photos and on the website. When I received the dress and tried it on, I knew it was perfect for me. It was so comfortable and made me feel like myself. It was the exact dress that I had always envisioned.
What went through your mind when the Wear Your Love box arrived at your doorstep, and you pulled out your dress for the first time?
The entire time, I kept thinking "Please work, please work!" The fabric was incredibly soft right when I pulled it out, so I knew it would be comfortable. When I put it on, I saw that it was unlike any of the other dresses I had tried on in the bridal shops. It was exactly what I was looking for and hadn't been able to find anywhere else.
What was your wedding theme or style?
Very rustic and bohemian. It took place at a working cattle ranch out in Tomales Bay area.
Let's show your wedding venue some love! What is the name of the wedding venue you chose and why did you choose them for your special day?
Our wedding venue was called Stemple Creek Ranch. We chose it because of the beautiful scenery all around and the gorgeous barn they have for receptions. When you're there, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere (which you kind of are!) and there's nothing but rolling hills, beautiful trees, and sheep and cows all around. One of the ceremony site options is a GORGEOUS eucalyptus grove located right up against the hill from the barn, and we fell in love with that spot right away. The whole place itself is just incredible, and we are so glad we chose it for our day.

What was on your wedding soundtrack playlist, aisle, reception, and first dance?
We had a pretty awesome soundtrack for the entire day, and our dance floor was PACKED the entire night. Our first dance was "This Magic Moment" by The Drifters, since we are huge fans of the movie The Sandlot.
Tell us your favorite moment from your wedding?
All of the moments were my favorite! Way too hard to choose just one! Some of my favorites would be our magical ceremony and dancing the night away with all of our family and best friends.
Do you have any advice or words of wisdom for anyone planning a wedding?
Get a planner! Or at least have someone who can help you. Having a planner is worth every penny and will make your life so much easier and your wedding day so much more enjoyable!. Also, try your hardest not to get overwhelmed and to enjoy every single moment. It's true what everyone is telling you...it goes by so fast!.
