Austin & Meryl
Austin and I met on a dating app. I decided to send him a message after I saw pictures of him playing games with his adorable red-headed niece :)
After our first date! We met for coffee, and it went on twice as long as I had planned. He is the best storyteller, and he had me laughing non-stop! Seeing him again became my #1 priority every day after that :)
Austin will tell you the proposal didn't go as planned. We were in New Orleans for a concert by our favorite band, and he hoped to pop the question there. Except the security and metal detectors would have blown his cover. He waited until after the concert and made an excuse to head back to our Air B&B so he could get down on one knee. I cried, said yes, and we celebrated with hot dogs and beer after :) The perfect night!
I was on the hunt for a romantic, yet comfortable dress that would withstand a windy intimate wedding in the mountains. I began searching immediately after the proposal and found Wear Your Love on Instagram and immediately fell in love with the style and elegance of your dresses!
I ultimately fell in love with the Zoey 2.0 because of the flattering fit, gorgeous stretch lace, and flowing bottom. I could envision myself in this dress on top of a windy mountain and knew this was the right dress for me!
I was so anxious to pull it out and finally put it on but decided to wait until I visited my family so my mother, father, and sister could see me in it for the first time.
Romantic, Bohemian, Mountain.
Estes Park Condos was the perfect setting for our day! We wanted a venue that could host our reception but also had accommodations onsite for our guests. After our wedding ceremony in Rocky Mountain National Park, we all got to enjoy a reception outdoors on their beautiful property under the stars. Once the night was over, we were all able to retire to our adorable cabins without having to drive anywhere!
Our dear friend Preston played an acoustic rendition of "Stand Inside Your Love" by the Smashing Pumpkins as my parents walked me down the "aisle" in Upper Beaver Meadow. Our first dance was to a "Stand By Me" cover by Florence and the Machine and then we partied down at the reception to various artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Journey, Lady GaGa and Taylor Swift.
The ceremony! We had my husband's best friend Cody officiate the ceremony, and he nailed it! He was able to tailor the ceremony to us as individuals and as a couple and kept everybody laughing when he incorporated lyrics from (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher & Higher.
Megan from Estes Park Bridal Company was an amazing talent when it came to giving me beautiful hair and makeup that would withstand the elements! @estesparkbridalco. My extremely talented photographer Maddie from https://adventureinstead.com/ not only captured our stunning photos but also helped us pick a ceremony site and a gorgeous site for our sunset couple’s pictures! Her assistance and input was invaluable to our day, and I can't thank her enough @adventureinstead Our caterer Basic Kneads Pizza was incredible! Our guests at the reception could not stop talking about how good the pizza was, and they even gave us some extra pizza to go! @basickneadspizzadenver Our florist was Lace and Lilies, and they worked closely with me to achieve my vision! As a bride who was indecisive about flowers, I felt nervous about seeing the final products. But I shrieked with excitement when I first saw my bouquet and flower crown. At my request, they even incorporated little blue silk flowers and late from my mother's bouquet from 1983. Everything was absolute perfection. @laceandlilies My favorite bridal accessory was my perfectly painted leather jacket by the talented Kelly at Bash Calligraphy! She worked incredibly hard to complete the details of the intricate design I requested and her hard work and talent shine through in a beautiful piece that I get to wear for years to come :) @bashcalligraphy We had the most stunning and delicious wedding cake from Sam at Sam Keith Cakes! She looked at my Pinterest page for inspiration and came up with a creative and gorgeous design for us. Sam is incredible @samekeithcakes Our guests were transported to and from the ceremony site by Estes Park Trolleys, and they were wonderful! Our guests got to ride into Rocky Mountain National for some site seeing park in a large trolley that made for a unique experience! A huge thanks to Nick for working with our ever-fluctuating guest list. @estes_park_trolleys Once Austin and I arrived at the reception after our sunset photos in the mountains, our guests were nice and loosened up thanks to Peak Beverage Company and the open bar! They were incredibly affordable, friendly and accommodating! @peakbev
Get the big details out of the way and let the small stresses fall by the wayside. This day is for you and your partner to cherish forever, so keep your energy focused on the precious things.
5 out of 5 stars.
Congratulations Austin & Meryl!
Here’s to a lifetime of love and happiness!
What went through your mind when the Wear Your Love box arrived at your doorstep, and you pulled out your dress for the first time?
I was so excited to open the box and try it on, I could hardly stand it. I could tell how beautiful it was from the moment I got the top off the box. The dress was perfect! When pulling it out, I noticed how soft it was! The material was stretchy, soft and so comfortable! It was everything I wanted.
Explain to us how you found Wear Your Love?
I was searching for a timeless, comfortable, lace gown that I could wear without breaking a sweat in the hot Mexico sun. I was willing to spend more than I would on a normal dress but didn't want to be extravagant, either. I furiously Googled and stalked Pinterest until I found Wear Your Love.
When did you know you had found your perfect dress?
I never actually went wedding dress shopping. I had found Wear Your Love online and knew I would love the Zoey Scoop Back dress. I loved that lace detail, the sleeves, the back, the length and color, and the skirt- everything about the dress was what I imagined I would be wearing.
