How did you meet the love of your life?

Tinder... Not the most romantic story - but it worked!

When did you know that this person had stolen your heart?

After our first ski adventure in Queenstown, New Zealand - it was one of the best holidays of my life and where James first asked me to be his 'official girlfriend'! (we had been dating a few months prior).

Tell us about the proposal!

James took myself and a handful of close friends out for dinner at La Laguna in Bali and proposed to me on the beach at sunset - It was beautiful and I was completely shocked/over the moon!

How did you find Wear Your Love?

After countless visits to local bridal stores and not finding anything close to what I was after, I started googling 'boho wedding gowns' online, and I think an ad actually popped up on my Instagram and I found the Wear Your Love page where I fell in love with more than one dress straight away. I was a bit skeptical about ordering my dress all the way from California without actually trying it on, but after reading all the reviews I felt a lot more comfortable.

When did you know you had found your perfect dress?

I was looking at the Zoey Scoop-Back dress for a while but wasn't 100% committed, it wasn't until I read through the bride blogs and saw one of the brides (Kayleigh) had one custom made with a V back and a belt, where I was certain that was 'The Dress'.

What went through your mind when the Wear Your Love box arrived at your doorstep, and you pulled out your dress for the first time?

The box was really small! At first, I was worried that I had been sent the wrong thing and I was too nervous to open it all day. But when I got home I pulled it out of the box and the material was exactly how I'd imagined and before I'd even tried it on I know it was going to be perfect.

What was your wedding theme or style?

We had a 'Rustic' Farm Wedding in spring.

Let's show your wedding venue some love! What is the name of the wedding venue you chose and why did you choose them for your special day?

We had our wedding at James' family farm in rural Victoria, Australia. It was a no-brainer for us as he grew up there and it is just so beautiful!

What was on your wedding soundtrack playlist, aisle, reception, and first dance?

Aisle - Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran

Reception - we had a band play

First Dance - Hypnotised by Rufus De Sol

What was your favorite moment?

My favorite moment would have to be the surprise helicopter ride James' dad organized for me and my bridal party - It was so incredible/overwhelming looking down on the property and seeing all our friends, family, and James standing there waiting for us. It definitely heightened all the emotions! To make it even more emotional, his dad said to him while it was landing that he arranged it as James' first word apart from Mum and Dad was 'helicopter' and it made sense for his beautiful bride to arrive in one! (James also had no idea about it!).

Tell us who was involved in making your wedding wonderful...

Our photographer was Justin Westwood.

Our videographer was Dean Atherton Creative (facebook) dean.shoots (on insta) - the video he put together was amazing, he captured so many special moments!

Hair - I actually had my hairdresser pull the pin last minute and was lucky enough for a friend to introduce Megan - a friend who is a teacher but does wedding hair on the side and she was a lifesaver and absolutely amazing! Her instagram is 'Meegshair'. Our caterer was Spitting Image - they provided beautiful rustic farm style share platters to our guests table and the food was incredible! The florist was Flowers by Nici Thompson from Yea, Victoria. (Facebook) and we cannot recommend him enough, the photos are unreal and he was so professional/easy to work with.

Do you have any advice or words of wisdom for anyone planning a wedding?

I would recommend doing the first-look photos rather than going off getting photos during the wedding - the day goes so fast and you want to spend every moment you can soaking it all in with your guests. Also, don't sweat the small stuff! There are going to be things that may not go to plan, but at the end of the day, you are going to remember the beautiful day spent with your friends, family, and partner and not the finer details!

Congratulations James & Amanda! Here's to a Lifetime of Happiness!
