Congratulations, Elisha & Kent on their lovely backyard wedding. Photography by Salome Palomino.

So tell us, how did you meet the love of your life?

We met at work - we worked together for about a year before he asked me out. I said no. Then, about eight months later, I asked him out. He said no. After a few weeks of this back and forth, we went out on our first date. We were married six months later.

When did you know they were the one?

I knew he was the one about a year after he asked me out--I just realized one day that I thought about him all the time.

Tell us the story of the proposal!

Kent planned a big proposal. He invited my friends and family--even my grandparents from Florida. He took me to a romantic dinner then a beautiful historic site. It ended with everyone surprising me, then his getting down on one knee and asking the question he already knew the answer to.

How long was your engagement? What went into deciding your wedding's date and location?

Our engagement was a little under three months.

How would you describe your personal style?  What was most important to you when you were planning your bridal look?

My style is boho-work casual--I'm a teacher. I knew I was having a backyard wedding, so I wanted something comfortable and simple.

How did you find Wear Your Love?

I found Wear Your Love on Instagram.

When did you know you had found your perfect dress?

The moment I saw the Neveah dress I knew I had to have it.

Which dress did you choose, and did you request any custom aspects?

I chose the Neveah dress

What went through your mind when the Wear Your Love box arrived at your doorstep and you tried on your dress for the first time?

I was excited but nervous--buying a dress without trying it on (even though its made to your specifications) is a big step, but it fit me like a glove.

Did your wedding have a theme or style?

Boho--all white and fringe and lots of candles everywhere.

How involved was your partner in the wedding planning? Did your families help? Did you hire a coordinator, planner, or event stylist?

My family helped a lot--especially my mom and sister. Kent planned our wonderful honeymoon, and I planned the wedding.

Let's show your wedding venue some love! What is the name of your venue, and why did you choose it for your special day?

We had a backyard wedding

Tell us about your wedding playlist! What song did you walk down the aisle to? Did you have a first dance song that was meaningful to you?

We danced to "Tennessee Whiskey" by Chris Stapleton. We had both in the past gotten each other whiskey for birthdays, so it fit us perfectly.

What was your favorite moment of the day?

Seeing Kent's face when I walked down the aisle. I thought he'd cry, but he had the biggest grin on his face the entire time. He cried later ;)

Who was involved in your special day? We would love to shout out your photographer, favorite vendors, and anyone else who made your day magical.

Salome Palomino @salome_palomino was our photographer. Our flowers were done by @redwhiteandbloom_flowers

Do you have any advice or helpful tips for others planning a wedding?

Try to enjoy it

What has been the best part so far about being married?

Living together ;)

Elisha is wearing The Nevaeh with nude lining and a full 28 in train.
