So tell us, how did you meet the love of your life?

Blaine was one of my cousin's childhood best friends. Blaine was in town on leave from the air force visiting his family. My cousin asked if I wanted to go have some drinks with his friend. And the rest is history.
When did you know they were the one?

I knew Blaine was the one pretty quickly. Idk when the exact moment was but about 3 months into talking and 3 days after becoming his girlfriend he got orders to Japan and I knew I wasn’t going to let it end because he would be gone for 2 years.
Tell us the story of the proposal!

It was pretty simple. It was Christmas Day and we were going downstairs to open presents when he didn’t want to wear his ‘Christmas day pjs’ because ‘they didn’t have pockets’ I didn’t think anything of it. After we opened our presents and gave the dogs their presents I said something like, dang! We’re like kids- it’s 6:30 in the morning and all our presents are opened!
He got down on one knee and said there is one last one! And pulled out the ring box. I just remember saying ‘you’re joking’ and started to cry (we’d been together for 7 years) and he kept talking, but I went into shock so I don’t remember much of what he said!
How long was your engagement? What went into deciding your wedding's date and location?

We got engaged Christmas of 2019. And planned for May 5 2020- but covid closed down Moab. So we got married June 6, 2020.

We had chosen to elope in Moab before we were even engaged. The beauty of Moab attracted us to it and he has a Jeep- so clearly he was sold on the idea.
How would you describe your personal style? What was most important to you when you were planning your bridal look?

I just wanted comfort! And elegant without being too fancy.

How did you find Wear Your Love?

I found Wear Your Love online. And instantly fell in love with the Fleur dress. I was hesitant because I couldn’t try it on before hand- but after my photographer had said she bought hers from Wear Your Love sight unseen it gave me the kick to order mine.

When did you know you had found your perfect dress?

When I put it on and cried. I didn’t think that was a real thing! I had tried on other long sleeve and lacy dresses and never got that feeling. I started to doubt if that was a real feeling. When my dress came in the mail I rushed to FaceTime my best friend and put my dress on and that ‘the one’ feeling hit me.

Which dress did you choose, and did you request any custom aspects?

Fleur! Although it was hard to decide! I wanted something tighter that showed some curves but then flowy. So Fleur was perfect! Nothing custom, just the dress as perfect as it is!

What went through your mind when the Wear Your Love box arrived at your doorstep and you tried on your dress for the first time?

I was scared! I was nearly sick to my stomach! Who buys a wedding dress before they try it on! But it was BEYOND what I could have wanted!

Did your wedding have a theme or style?

Just love and fun!
How involved was your partner in the wedding planning? Did your families help? Did you hire a coordinator, planner, or event stylist?

We eloped! So not much planning, our families didn’t know until a couple days later after we got to enjoy being husband and wife.

Our photographer- @andtwoweretamed helped us with everything! We had never been to Moab and it just so happened Moab is one of her favorite places! So she helped pick out 3 different amazing sites!
Let's show your wedding venue some love! What is the name of your venue, and why did you choose it for your special day?

We had our first look and said our vows at Deadhorse point in Moab. We chose it for the beauty.

I never really was able to picture my wedding. All I ever pictured was getting married without anything man made in site. And a couple days after our I do’s I was thinking about it and realized without even planning it- it had happened.
Tell us about your wedding playlist! What song did you walk down the aisle to? Did you have a first dance song that was meaningful to you?

No isle, no song to walk down the aisle to.

We did pick out songs for each other for our ‘first and second’ dance. And danced to them in our hotel that night. Mine to Blaine was Chris Stapleton More of you, and Blaines song to me was Savage Garden Truly Madly Deeply
What was your favorite moment of the day?

The entire day was my favorite. But probably sunset. We sat under the Corona Arch (perfect for Covid pushing our date back) just sitting out staring at the beauty thinking of our entire day.

We drove separate cars to a cliff and waited for a random thunderstorm to pass watching lightning in the distance. Finally the rain let up and the sun peeked through. So we did our first look and vows. Then we ran to the car getting soaked from the rain that decided to come back. Later that day we went to another spot in Moab and took pictures in front of these towers with Fisher towers in the background. Then lastly hiked a mile and a half to the Corona Arch for sunset!
Who was involved in your special day? We would love to shout out your photographer, favorite vendors, and anyone else who made your day magical.

@andtwoweretamed !!!

I had followed her work for many years after meeting through a mutual friend. I knew without a doubt when it came time for our day she would be the one to capture it. And she did not disappoint!
Do you have any advice or helpful tips for others planning a wedding?

Make it about you, clearly ours was ALL about us, but don’t get distracted on trying to find the best of this that and everything because that’s what’s popular- do you and don’t let anyone else influence that!
What has been the best part so far about being married?

For me- finally getting to say ‘my husband’

I just asked Blaine.... he said ‘knowing I’m stuc.... I mean I get to spend the rest of my life with you!’ 😂
