So tell us, how did you meet the love of your life?

Our first real interaction with each other was at a 4th of July party at a mutual friend's lake house in Alaska. Ian seemed interested in me from the beginning so I some how had the courage to ask him to share a jet ski with me for a sunset ride. We explored all the different coves of the lakes, talked about our interests, and had a few fun splashes by falling in the water.

When did you know they were the one?

Ian was just everything I was looking for in a spouse. There was no reason for me to keep looking because he was IT.

Tell us the story of the proposal!

It was on a Friday and we had planned to go on a short hike with 2 friends. He gave me a note recalling all the things we'd done together starting with "remember when...". The last one read "Remember when I asked you to be my wife?"

How long was your engagement? What went into deciding your wedding's date and location?

5 months. We chose Labor Day that way we could celebrate every anniversary to come around a 3 day weekend, also we love the fall time in Alaska. We got married in a ceremony outside a greenhouse. I'm a very plant obsessed person so having all the greenery was magical and it gave us the casual wedding feel we wanted.

How would you describe your personal style? What was most important to you when you were planning your bridal look?

Very boho and I wanted something unique. All the dresses I was looking at started looking like the same white dress so I loved the nude undertone of my dress to set it apart! Also it had to be something I could dance in!

When did you know you had found your perfect dress?

As a marketer I can say your social media ads worked on me haha. But the dress just kept coming back to me until I finally decided on it!

Which dress did you choose, and did you request any custom aspects?

What went through your mind when the Wear Your Love box arrived at your doorstep and you tried on your dress for the first time?

I was a little worried to find out if it fit correctly and to my surprise it fit every part so well

How involved was your partner in the wedding planning? Did your families help? Did you hire a coordinator, planner, or event stylist?

My mom and I did most of the planning. Ian did what he could to help plan but his main job was getting our new duplex ready.

Let's show your wedding venue some love! What is the name of your venue, and why did you choose it for your special day?

Forget Me Not Nursery in Indian Alaska. The venue is so fitting to me being set in nature. The venue has a view of the mountains which I really wanted to have as a backdrop for our ceremony. The owners were so kind and let us do whatever we wanted with the plants to decorate. We did the reception inside the greenhouse so it had the comfortability of being inside but all the glass windows made it still feel like we were outside.
