Allison Wearing The Ellora Dress
We met working together in the military. We were both fond of each other for over a year before we started talking to each other.
During our time getting to know one another, all I wanted was to be with Aldo. I wanted to spend every second with him. I thought of him all day, and just thinking of him made me happy. That’s how I knew I was in love with him. He also showed the same feelings toward me, and one night he told me he wanted to talk to me but he had a hard time saying it. He was smiling the entire time he tried to tell me, and eventually said that he loved me, and I said it back.
Aldo planned to take me to the Grand Canyon for my birthday. It was a trip that I had planned for a long time but wanted to go on with someone special, and he made it happen for me. We had already planned on getting married and had picked out a ring together. On our trip, we went to Horseshoe bend just before sunset and he proposed, although I was very shy and made him get up right away! He took the ring and re-placed it on my finger, asking me officially to marry him and of course I said yes.
We were engaged for about 10 months, and during that time we got pregnant and decided to get married at the courthouse on Feb. 6th, 2020! We already had plans to go to Washington where our amazing photographer lived and have an adventure elopement, but having a baby on the way, we decided to make it official first. We had planned for November 2020 to go to Washington and “elope” where we would say our vows and make it an unforgettable experience. Of course, COVID and the military made things change a bit, and the date and location were both changed. We met our photographer and his husband, who was our wedding planner, in San Francisco on October 18, 2020. There we hiked Muir Woods and the hills near the Golden Gate Bridge with our son who was 9 months old. Things change, life happens, but we made the best of it and it was the most magical and special day!
Aldo and I are both very spontaneous and go-with-the-flow. I love a modest yet sexy look, something simple but beautiful.
I discovered WYL on Instagram!
I knew I had found the perfect dress when I saw it. Lace, long sleeves, open back, modest yet pretty neckline. It was perfect!
When I received my dress, I felt a weight lifted off of me. I felt so lucky to be marrying my husband in my dream dress. It was better than I expected, and everything I dreamed of.
No theme!
Aldo and I made every decision together. We went on our adventure elopement with just our son! We hired a planner to coordinate flowers and props for the photos, as well as to help with location. He was the husband of our photographer so that made coordinating everything seamless!

Every moment was amazing! Hearing the vows my husband said to me, and sharing those moments with our baby made the whole day so amazing.

Make it YOUR day! Planning a wedding should be fun and stress free!
Nothing I would do differently! Everything was perfect!
My favorite thing about being married is being able to spend the rest of my life with the one I love.
